A family-run drug trafficking operation has been dismantled in Chalandri, a northern suburb of Athens, following a coordinated police operation. Six suspects — all relatives — were arrested for distributing narcotics across parts of Attica.
Leadership and Structure
Among those detained was a 25-year-old man identified by authorities as the alleged ringleader. According to police, the group had been operating since May 2026, with clearly defined roles: the 25-year-old reportedly coordinated activities and issued instructions to other members.
Operational Methods
The suspects used their residence in Chalandri both as a storage hub for drugs and as a base for transactions — which took place either from the home or via family-owned vehicles. Deliveries were made at pre-arranged locations without direct contact with buyers.
Seized Evidence
During the operation, authorities confiscated nearly 730 grams of cannabis, 30 narcotic tablets, a high-precision digital scale, €600 in cash, two air guns, three magazines, two knives, five mobile phones, and packaging materials used for narcotics.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
The six suspects face charges including participation in a criminal organization, drug trafficking, violations of firearms legislation, and money laundering. They were brought before the relevant public prosecutor for further judicial proceedings.
