The Hamas organization released another video on Saturday (10.05.2025) showing two Israeli hostages being held in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. One of the men appeals for an end to the conflict in Gaza. The approximately three-minute video features Elkanah Bohbot and Yosef-Haim Ohana, identified by Israeli media. The French News Agency was unable to confirm the exact date the footage was taken. In the video, the two men are seen in a confined space. One, with a shaved head and tattoos on his arm, gestures while speaking, while the other lies covered with a blanket, appearing weak and silent. The first man explains that his companion is in very poor physical and mental condition and urges Israeli leadership to cease hostilities in Gaza. Both were abducted from the Nova music festival in southern Israel during the deadly attack launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Among the 251 hostages originally taken by Hamas that day, 58 remain in Gaza, including 34 who are confirmed dead, according to the Israeli military. Additionally, Hamas holds the remains of an Israeli soldier killed in previous clashes in the Gaza Strip in 2014. On May 7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed doubts about the status of three previously believed living hostages, stating that while 21 are confirmed alive, the status of three others remains uncertain.
