Halkidiki: Disclosure of shock for the permits of the fatal amusement park – “It operated with responsible statement, certification was expired”

New information comes out in the light of the 19-year-old’s death case, who died in Pefkohori, specifically, the fatal crazy dance operated with a responsible statement, while the fitness certificate had expired since last May. The lawyer of the 58-year-old owner of the amusement park in Halkidiki, submitted technical inspection documents and 5 responsible engineer statements from a certification company for the suitability of the game, on which 19-year-old John left his last breath. These statements were signed by the technician on, however they are not valid certification for the security of the crazy dance. In particular, the responsible statements stated that the validity of the games at the amusement park was valid until 3 May 2024. It is impressive, especially in the family of the unfortunate John, how the technician signed his signature for the guarantee of the games that were clearly in bad condition. The 19-year-old’s family reportedly expects its own expert to decide how to move in the future. The father of the wrongful young man intends to move legally against the technician who signed the responsible statements. “Hunting” and courts with the municipality of Thermaikos and ELAS The owner of the amusement park in Halkidiki had spread his “nets” in Thessaloniki, bringing games to the Christmas village of the municipality of Thermaikos as Thestoday.gr reveals. According to what has become known, while the company signed a 60-day lease agreement with the municipality, it needed a “hunt” with police, self-government and then a court dispute with the municipality, until it finally left two and a half months later! This is a case, which began on 15 December 2021 when the municipality of Thermaikos signed a 60-day lease agreement to install an ice rink and amusement park machinery on a municipal plot in Perea. In fact, although on paper this company was in the name of his wife, the 58-year-old seems to have been the one who took over her management and appeared to be responsible for the municipality. As Thestoday.gr reports although the lease term expired on 12 February 2022, the 58-year-old not only did not leave—as foreseen by the agreement and despite repeated recommendations from the municipal authority from the first moment—but operated arbitrarily until Easter that year. He was getting his power down, and he was pulling up a generator. Despite pressure from the municipality, the operation remained there although a contract had expired. The municipality requested the assistance of the Greek Police for the removal of the amusement park, but which was epic: On the one hand the local government was downloading the power switches to interrupt the power supply and on the other hand the 58-year-old was arbitrarily lifting them, continuing its normal operation. Even when representatives of the municipality brought an electrician to cut the wires, the 58 – year – old enlisted his own generator on the plot to operate the games! The next move by the municipality of Thermaikos was to follow the judicial route to ensure Luna Park’s departure from the plot. As can be seen from the minutes that have been posted in the program “Success”, he appointed a bailiff to serve administrative expulsion to the company. At the same time, the authorities proceeded to certify a fine for occupying a public space of EUR 2,500 and for the arbitrary reconnection of electricity which is expected to be tried in September.
