Halkidiki: 16-Year-Old Injured by Boat Propeller Driven by His Father

A serious incident occurred in Halkidiki involving a 16-year-old boy of Romanian origin who was injured by the propeller of a boat operated by his father. The accident happened today (05.07.2025) on a beach in the Galazia Nera Sithonias area, Halkidiki. After sustaining injuries, the teenager was transferred to Papageorgiou Hospital in Thessaloniki, where he is currently receiving treatment. According to reports, the young boy was injured in the sea area of Galazia Nera Sithonias, Halkidiki, after coming into contact with the propeller of a rented boat that was being driven by his father. Initially, he was taken to the General Hospital of Halkidiki for first aid before being moved to Papageorgiou General Hospital. The local coast guard station in Ormos Panagias is conducting a preliminary investigation, and the boy’s father has been detained for violating Article 314 of the Penal Code regarding ‘bodily harm due to negligence.’
