Earthquake in Haiti: 724 dead!

According to the latest information from the authorities, 500 people lost their lives in the south of the country, 100 in the Grand-Anse area, 122 in the city of Nippes, and 2 northwest, while the injured amount to 2.800.

In addition to the hundreds of dead, injured, and missing people left behind by the deadly earthquake, Haiti is also facing a tropical storm.

It is recalled that the earthquake occurred at 08:29 (local time; 15:29 Greek time) on Saturday morning (14/8), 12 km from the city of St. Louis-di-Sint, about 160 km from the capital, Port-au-Prince, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
