Her decided to proceed to a nationwide 24-hour period in November, as became known in a relevant announcement. The accuracy, housing crisis and the issue of Collective Labour Contracts in our country, “which form a heavy climate for the world of wage labour”, were discussed at today’s meeting of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Workers of Greece (GSEE), according to a communication, while a 24-hour general strike was decided. The Executive Committee decided to continue the activities of the previous period throughout the country, emphasising the Attica basin and other major cities and workplaces. Actions and the new campaign against accuracy and housing crisis will unfold in the coming period and culminate with a 24-hour nationwide strike mobilisation next November. As the GSC reports, the exact date of the strike will be discussed at a plenary session of the Board of Directors, which will also take final decisions, assessing the situation experienced by employees and private sector workers. “The government has given no meaningful response to the democratic reform of industrial relations and collective labour law. He has failed to control the obscene profit, which sparks accuracy and constantly degrades the citizens’ purchasing power and their standard of living. The measures taken to address the housing crisis are highlighted as the main cause of price increases in the real estate market and rents,” the Confederation notes and adds: “We are claiming a National General Collective Labour Convention for defenceless employees of the private sector and, at the same time, facilitating the conclusion and extension of sectoral and homogeneous Collective Labour Contracts, with increases and conditions that meet the real needs of our members. We demand immediate measures against accuracy, cheap and quality shelter for all.”
