As said Infrastructure Minister Dimitris Reppas, presenting the plan, the accumulated debts of OSE and TRAINOSE will be absorbed by the public, and in return, the Real Estate Agency will pass owned by the State.

Mr. Reppas stated that the project is exempt from the Greek taxpayer than the deficits of the body exceed 10.7 billion euros.
The plan also provides for the separation of the rail network into four categories:
– In an active network, which transfers are normally performed
– The network currently under construction, where after the completion of projects associated with the active network
– The active network is a temporary suspension where you made only the necessary maintenance work in order to permit a rail if classified as active in the future
– And the rail network which has been abolished, but recovered from the GAIA OSE and may make concessions either by individuals or by local authorities
