Greek President Tasoulas Hails Armed Forces for Safeguarding Nation’s Security and Freedom

On March 21, 2025, Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas visited the Ministry of National Defense to express his deep appreciation and trust in the Armed Forces. During the visit, he emphasized that the Armed Forces hold the most valuable assets of the Greek people—their security and freedom. “The Armed Forces have achieved ensuring the Greek people feel their security and freedom are in good hands,” said President Tasoulas. He highlighted the importance of safeguarding territorial integrity and national sovereignty as the highest mission within the State. Referring to global security changes, Tasoulas noted the need for rapid adaptability alongside preparedness and deterrence. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Nikos Dendias reiterated the importance of the Agenda 2030 initiative, calling it a ‘survival pact’ necessary for modernization. The meeting concluded with updates from various military units, including assurances about reduced airspace violations and the readiness of pilots in the Air Force.
