The Greek-American Chamber of Commerce is closely monitoring announcements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the imposition of new tariffs on EU member states, including Greece. As emphasized by the Chamber: “As an institutional body, we have consistently expressed our position in favor of free and fair trade and resolving trade disputes through dialogue and cooperation, in collaboration with other American Chambers. Although Greece’s trade balance with the U.S. is relatively small, and direct impacts may be limited, we are closely following developments and remain prepared to adapt to any new circumstances. Our primary goal is to ensure a favorable trade environment that supports entrepreneurship and strengthens bilateral economic ties. We commit to taking initiatives, either independently or in collaboration with other American chambers within and outside Europe, aiming to initiate constructive dialogue that promotes stability and growth in trade between the U.S. and Europe, guided by mutual benefit and institutional consistency.” Source: APE-MPE.
