Greece’s economic climate downgraded in September – Expectations in industry disbanded

In September of 110.2 units, the Commission’s index for Greece declined to 107 units, with a greater retreat being recorded in . In addition to the decline in expectations in the industry, pressure was recorded on all individual factors of the economic climate, with only consumer confidence being slightly enhanced. The industry index split to 1.9 points from 8.1 in August, while the fall in retail was also significant with a fall to 5.5 points from 13.5 last month. With regard to services there was a retreat to 37.3 units from 40.8 units previously, and respectively expectations in the construction sector, reaching -0.6 units from 5 units that were in August. A little better with regard to consumers, with the consumer confidence index amounting to -50.3 points from -51.3 last month. For the same time, the economic climate yielded by 0.7 units in both the European Union (96 units), and the euro area (95.6), due to lower expectations in industry offset by the small aid to retail, construction and consumer confidence, while expectations in services remained stable.
