Greece Prepares for EU Budget Framework Negotiations 2028-2034

According to ertnews, under the chairmanship of Kostis Hatzidakis, the government aims to effectively utilize the financial tools of the upcoming programming period. The administration will advocate for adequate funding in key developmental and social sectors, including defense infrastructure and energy connections. Additionally, the government is promoting a unified action plan across national, regional, and local levels through the National Strategy for Regional and Local Development. This strategy seeks to address regional disparities and local issues. Discussions will also include government planning for various networks—road, energy, telecommunications, and rail—and their integration into the country’s blueprint. The ultimate goal is to finalize projects that complete Greece’s infrastructure networks. Participants include Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, Ministers Kyriakos Pierakkakis, Christos Dima, Stavros Papastaurou, Takis Theodorikakos, Niki Kerameos, Kostas Tsiares, Vasilis Kikilias, Olga Kefalogianni, ‘Aki Skertzos, and several deputy ministers.
