In the call, Kyriakos Mitsotakis informed Narendra Modi of Greece’s intention to open two more consulates in India: Mumbai and Bangalore. The Greek Prime Minister and his Indian counterpart also discussed the prospects for deepening bilateral relations on the basis of the strategic partnership, adopted by their Joint Declaration during Narendra Modi’s official visit to Athens in August 2023, as well as further strengthening cooperation, particularly in the field of investment. In addition, cooperation between the two countries was discussed within the framework of the mandate of Greece as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council during 2025-2026.
