Greece in upheaval over austerity
ATHENS, Greece — Protesters fought running battles with riot police in central Athens, torching cars, hurling gasoline bombs and sending Christmas shoppers fleeing, as tens of thousands took to the streets during a general strike Wednesday against the government’s latest austerity measures.
