Greece has the second-largest defense spending as a percentage of GDP in the EU in 2019, after Estonia, according to data released by Eurostat.
These expenditures corresponded to 2% of Greek GDP, while in Estonia they amounted to 2.1% and on average in the EU to 1.2% of its GDP.
