Great Greek Wines: The dynamic return

At the same time, a new category of GREAT VALUE WINES will be introduced for wines with a retail price of up to 19 euros in order to communicate this advantage that our country has. As every year this year the institution is framed exclusively with international renowned wine judges whose experience promises to enhance the quality and impartiality of the evaluation process. The Committee will therefore participate in: Mark Andrew MW (Noble Rot Magazine & Restaurants), with a prominent figure in the world wine map specializing in Assyrtiko, co-founder and author of Noble Rot Magazine, one of the most recognizable wine magazines in the world, and has contributed decisively to education and informing the public about wine. Paz Levinson (Wine Director at Groupe Pic) of origin from Argentina , which is Chef Sommelier Executive at the renowned Groupe Pic Restaurants. Paz was declared Argentina’s Best Sommelier in 2014 and 2010 . In 2015 she won the Best Sommelier competition of America , while in 2016 she was declared World’s Best Sommelier A.S.I. , reaching 4th place worldwide. A very important wine professional with special love in Greek varieties, who has followed with interest the evolution of Greek wine. Wojciech Bońkowski MW (Wine Writer & Journalist from Poland), a renowned Polish winemaker and Master of Wine, who has achieved international recognition in the wine sector. It has contributed significantly to the promotion of Greek and other international wines in Poland , strengthening the interconnection between producers and consumers in the wine sector. Christophe Heynen MW (Leading wine merchant in Belgium and France) a great character of the world wine scene, expanding the understanding and appreciation of wines not only in Belgium and France, but also internationally. He is particularly known in the wine market of Belgium and France, where he has excelled as an importer, promoting both top and rising wineries. Stefan Neumann MS (Wine Consultant and Master Sommelier), a highly influential form in the wine sector, with a significant contribution to education, evaluation and promotion of the quality of wines worldwide. It comes from the site of high gastronomy, as he has been the wine director of The Fat Duck for years – Heston Blumentall Peter Richards MW (Writer & Broadcaster), an award-winning writer, presenter and Master of Wine.
