Government Restructuring: Hatzidakis as Deputy, Pierakakis to Economy – All New Names

The government spokesperson, Pavlos Marinakis, announced the news. Kyriakos Mitsotakis proceeded with a government restructuring to restart his administration and prepare for the 2027 elections. Kostas Hatzidakis is appointed as Deputy Prime Minister, while Kyriakos Pierakakis, previously Minister of Education, takes over the Ministry of Economy. Unmoved remain Ministers such as Theodoros Livanios (Interior), Takis Theodorikakos (Development), Michalis Chrysochoidis (Citizen Protection), Lina Mendoni (Culture), Kostas Tsaras (Agricultural Development and Food), and Adonis Georgiadis (Health). Notably, Nikos Panagiotopoulos (former Migration and Asylum Minister) and Theodoros Skylakakis (former Environment and Energy Minister) are out of the new cabinet.
