Glyka Nera: Crime Syndicates Use Drones to Target Homes and Businesses

in

Residents of Glyka Nera cannot find peace from daily break-ins despite ongoing arrests of gang members who ’empty’ homes and businesses. A documentary video released by Alpha TV exposed the actions of a female crime syndicate with a habit of thefts, which skillfully stole products from a pharmacy in Glyka Nera while it was open and staffed. In the video, two women enter the pharmacy. One attempts to engage the employee in conversation to distract her, while the other goes directly for the desired items. The second woman grabs a box of infant formula and hides it in a secret pocket of her pants. ‘They knew exactly what they wanted to take. We realized this from the security cameras. At the time, we didn’t notice because their movements were very fast,’ said an employee on camera. ‘They engaged the colleague in conversation, asking about different sizes and changing the baby’s age to avoid settling on one size,’ she added. The gang then disappeared at a bus stop. According to local residents of Glyka Nera, crime in the area has reached alarming levels, leaving them in despair. Although the police continue to arrest thieves and vandals daily, it does not stop the gangs from finding more imaginative ways to hit their targets. A resident reported that members of a particular gang causing ‘headaches’ in Glyka Nera even use drones to surveil homes and stores they intend to steal from.
