Glyfada: 194 kg of Raw Cannabis Seized from Speedboat

A significant blow to drug trafficking networks was dealt by the Saronic Harbor Police, who located and seized a quantity of raw cannabis weighing a total of 194 kilograms and 62 grams in Glyfada. The operation unfolded after utilizing intelligence and targeted actions when a suspicious unmanned speedboat was spotted on the second beach of Glyfada. Upon inspection, harbor police found ten black bags inside containing numerous handmade packages of raw cannabis. The boat and the drugs were immediately seized by the Saronic Harbor Police, which is conducting preliminary investigations. Simultaneously, an extensive investigation is underway in collaboration with the Narcotics & Trafficking Prosecution Directorate (D.D.N.A.L.) and the Security & Protection of Maritime Borders Directorate (D.A.P.Th.A.S.) of the Hellenic Coast Guard Headquarters, aiming to identify and apprehend individuals involved in the case. This incident adds to the coordinated efforts of authorities to combat drug trafficking via sea routes, sending a clear message of zero tolerance against criminal networks.
