In a major international operation, Europol announced the dismantling of one of the world’s largest child exploitation networks, Kidflix. The extensive operation involved 35 countries and led to the arrest of 79 individuals suspected of distributing child sexual abuse material. Approximately 1,400 suspects have been identified so far. German and Dutch authorities seized the platform’s server, which contained around 72,000 videos at the time of takedown. Since its creation in 2021, Kidflix amassed 1.8 million users and facilitated the distribution of approximately 91,000 videos through a profitable subscription model using cryptocurrencies. Unlike other platforms, Kidflix allowed users not only to store but also stream such content. Users could earn credits by uploading content or categorizing videos. Europol highlighted this as one of the largest operations ever conducted against child sexual exploitation.
