Through a new Instagram story, Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos expressed hope that Valencia would formally request the scheduling of Game 5 in their EuroLeague playoff series—so he could attend in person.
“I hope Valencia submits a request, so I have the opportunity to watch Game 5—the decisive match that will determine the fourth and final team advancing to the EuroLeague Final Four in Athens,” Giannakopoulos wrote. “I’m optimistic the EuroLeague’s leadership will approve it. I’m confident all stakeholders in European basketball will unanimously agree.”
