The Greek insurance market posted growth in the eleven-month period of January–November 2025, according to the Hellenic Union of Insurance Companies (GIA). Total premium income reached €5.38 billion, up 4.6% year-on-year compared to the same period in 2024. Life insurance premiums amounted to €2.5 billion, rising modestly by 1.2%, while non-life premiums totaled €2.88 billion—up 7.8% annually. Motor third-party liability insurance contributed significantly, generating €754.6 million in premiums, a 5.4% increase year-on-year. Overall, the sector maintained positive momentum and expansionary dynamics throughout most of 2025.
