Two people were killed on Saturday when a small plane crashed into a house in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. According to Rheinische Post, the aircraft struck the building’s facade before colliding with its yard, causing a fire to break out. The newspaper reports that among the victims is the pilot, who was originally scheduled to land at nearby Mönchengladbach but had reported engine trouble. A large operation involving police, firefighters, and rescue teams is currently underway at the site.
