Germany: Man Attacks Train Passengers with Axe – Dramatic Arrest

Specifically, a man wielding an axe assaulted passengers aboard the ICE 91 high-speed train in Lower Bavaria, according to German authorities, who reported that at least four people were injured. The incident took place on a train traveling from Munich to Vienna. A man attacked fellow passengers with a “dangerous object,” which, as reported by the newspaper BILD, was likely an axe. Passengers activated the emergency brake, causing the train to stop, and they managed to surround the suspect. He was eventually airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. According to the report, the alleged perpetrator is Syrian and sustained injuries after one of the passengers managed to wrestle the weapon away and retaliate.
