Adonis Georgiadis has hit back at Zoe Konstantopoulou, accusing her of sowing societal division. The spat follows Konstantopoulou’s remarks criticizing the Health Minister over the case of Panos Roussis, a hunger striker demanding the exhumation of his son who died in the Tempi train crash and calling for toxicology tests. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Georgiadis accused Konstantopoulou of disrespecting judicial independence—a duty enshrined in the Constitution—despite having sworn to uphold it. He highlighted contradictions in her statements, noting she claimed no official documents were served to her due to a religious holiday, yet acknowledged police delivered a notice to her office. He also pointed out that while she claimed Roussis was uninformed, she herself is his legal representative and thus aware of developments. Georgiadis dismissed her claim that the government prevented forensic exams on the victims as baseless and slanderous, arguing it maligns the entire judiciary. He condemned her theories about smuggling as offensive to the memory of the deceased train engineers and deeply hurtful to their families, calling her actions devoid of empathy or respect.
