During the debate on the motion of no confidence against the government, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis accused PASOK and SYRIZA of toxic and dangerous hypocrisy. Addressing PASOK MPs, he reminded them of the difficult conditions in the country between 2012-2015 and the violent incidents against party members. He remarked, “Do you remember where the ‘indignant movement’ led? To the brink of disaster, bank closures, and the downfall of your party. And now you collaborate with those who attacked, insulted, and threw stones at you. Aren’t you ashamed?” Furthermore, he criticized PASOK’s cooperation with Zoi Konstantopoulou, stating that she was the president of the Parliament who attempted to lead the country back to the drachma. “You collaborated with the lady who wanted to sink the country, and aren’t you ashamed?” he questioned. Georgiadis also condemned the political scene for the return of toxicity and challenged Sia Anagnostopoulou, a member of Tsipras’ government, saying she couldn’t lecture him on integrity after her involvement in covering up the Mati tragedy by appointing Matthaiopoulos to the Fire Brigade.
