George Matarangas: ‘In America, I worked up to delivering groceries’

‘These two years that I spent there did me incredible good,’ stated George Matarangas. The renowned actor was featured on Studio 4 in the afternoon of Tuesday (01.04.2025). Matarangas discussed his two-year stay in America and the experiences he gained. ‘I really wanted to go to America, and my dad kept asking, “Where are you going? Are you leaving all this behind?” I had made films here. I had gone with a group to America, and I went crazy. It’s a different life over there. They offer you things. It stuck in my mind—I wanted to experience living there. Those two years I stayed there were incredibly beneficial. I returned because I wanted to do something in Greece and never left again. A breakup also played a role,’ Matarangas explained. ‘I took some money with me to live there initially, then I started working. I even delivered groceries. “We want delivery from the Greek god,” the American ladies would say,’ he added.
