George Lanthimou’s movie “Poor Things” available on Disney+

The film “Poor Things, ” directed by George Lanthimos and produced by Emma Stone, presents the incredible story and amazing development of Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), a young woman who brought back to life a brilliant but unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Thirsting for learning and seeking the experience she lacks, Bella flees with Duncan Wenderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a cunning and corrupt lawyer, and lives an exciting adventure from continent to continent. Free from prejudices of her time, Bella insists on her goal of defending equality and freedom. Based on Alasdair Gray’s novel, the film is written by Tony McNamara, marking the second collaboration of Lanthimus and McNamara, after the film “The Beneficiary”, which is also available on Disney+.
