The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) raised alarm today, announcing that medications in Gaza are running critically low. Concurrently, the WHO reiterated its call for the lifting of Israel’s blockade on humanitarian aid imposed on Gaza. Specifically, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned via the platform X that “the situation is the same for medical supplies—they are depleting,” emphasizing that “this blockade must end. Lives depend on it.” This follows an announcement by the World Food Programme (WFP) stating that all food reserves in Gaza have been exhausted, as Israel continues to block all aid for over seven weeks.
