A multi-story building hit Sunday morning (17.11.2024) in Bate Lahia, in its northern part resulting in dozens Palestinians killed or wounded. Since Israel hit the multi-story building in the Gaza Strip there are many victims without their number being accurate. Palestinian civil protection pointed out that about 70 people lived in the building. Israel has not commented on this attack. Footage that has been uploaded to social media shows children and families screaming and trying to get out of the destroyed building. Early last month the Israeli army launched large-scale ground operations in the northern part of the Palestinian enclave and mainly in Bate Lachia, Bate Hanoon and Jabalia, the largest of the eight historic refugee camps of the Gaza Strip, with the aim, as it states, of preventing Hamas militants from regrouping and launching attacks. Fifteen Palestinians were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted the Abdul Aati family home, which was sheltering residents and displaced people in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza. Israeli military operations in northern Gaza and the removal of tens of thousands Palestinians from the region have raised concerns that Israel is seeking to create a neutral zone there and may prepare the return of Jewish settlers. Israel’s army has denied that this is its pursuit.
