At least 25 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a school serving as a shelter for displaced Palestinians in Gaza City. Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for the health services, stated that “a total of 25 people were killed and at least 100 were injured in the attack on Dar al Arkam school in the Al Tufah neighborhood, in northeastern Gaza.” Earlier, Basal had reported 19 deaths. The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted “a Hamas command center” used by terrorists to plan attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.
