Gathering goods for the refugees in the Group of Friends of Astronomy

Dear members and friends of the Group of Friends of Astronomy, as you all know the situation with refugees and…
immigrants is dramatic. The borders are summoning thousands of individuals and families (with the number growing every day), waiting in agony and incredible patience the continuation of their journey towards a better life with security for them and their children.
The Group of Friends of Astronomy assist the efforts of voluntary groups in support of refugees and assemble goods in its office.
The needs of these days:
Clothing: ONLY shoes (big and athletic), belts, jackets (children’s), backpacks.
Food: biscuits, eggs (ONLY boiled), bars, granola bars, juice boxes (small packages), nuts, dried fruit, long-life milk (NOT evaporated milk), infant milk powder (first and follow-on formulae), prepared baby food in jars, croissants, μερέντες, canned goods (NO MEAT), water (half-liter).
Hygiene items: Diapers, sanitary pads, baby wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bars of soap, pacifiers, baby bottles.

The goods can be left at the offices of the association of Friends of Astronomy, of Alexandria 113. The offices will be open every Wednesday (7 to 9), shrove Tuesday, and every Tuesday (6 to 8) that is programmed seminar. The promotion will be done through a voluntary group of Volunteers in Thessaloniki – Love without Borders.
