Simultaneously, the rapidly deteriorating unemployment among young, as the unemployment rate in this population group was in February to 40.4% and rose by about 8.5 points from February last year. According to the Labour Force Survey of the Greek Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), the unemployment rate in February this year stood at 15.9% versus 12.1% in February 2010 and 15.1% in January 2011.
