Gabriel: Erdogan has crossed the line

The head of the German diplomacy announced that said today the Turkish counterpart that the president of Turkey “crossed the line” when he accused personally German chancellor Angela Merkel to “nazi practices”.
The Turkish president was attacked earlier tonight by chancellor Merkel, accusing her of “nazi practices” because in Germany were banned rallies in favour of the “yes” in the referendum of 16 April for the constitutional review in Turkey.
“When you call them nazis, they don’t like. Demonstrating their solidarity. Especially Merkel,” he said today Erdogan. “But all you can resort to at this time in nazi practices,” he added, addressing himself to the chancellor.

Yulia Κλέκνερ, a close associate of the chancellor and vice-president of the christian democratic party (CDU) has called for a “decisive” response to the Anchor: “mr Erdogan has still sane?” he wondered, asking to cancel the financial assistance, amounting to many billions of euro allocated by the European Union in Turkey.
By the side of Martin Schulz, who today was elected president of the social democratic Party, labelled the statements of Erdogan “unworthy for a head of state”. “Turkey is evolving into an authoritarian state”, rated the ex-president of the European Parliament in his statements on public television ARD.
