The last “good-bye” told Greek football, with Panathinaikos as a whole giving the “present” to his—in England—as well as members of National Greece. Within a climate of emotion, relatives, friends, the team of Panathinaikos, members of National football, as well as members of the EPO told at noon on Wednesday (30.10.2024) the last goodbye to George Baldock. His family and fellow Panathinaikos – along with the president of the FC, Giannis Alafuzo – last said goodbye to George Baldock, who left life on 9 October at his home in Glyfada. His funeral was held in Milton Kanes in England, with Baldock’s body placed in a white coffin. The ceremony was attended by Deputy President Nikos Georgoglou and the Vice President of the National Teams Committee Pantelis Hatzimarinakis and by Vassilis Torosidis and Dimitris Salpingidis on behalf of the National Team. Of international football players, the presence of West Ham’s Dino Mavropanus stood out. At the same time, Panathinaikos player Dimitris Limnios was unable to hide his thrill in tears.
