Countdown is on for Fuel Pass 2026 applications: the official platform remains open to all eligible applicants—regardless of the last digit of their tax identification number (AFM)—until Thursday, April 30, 2026. This new round covers fuel expenses for April and May 2026 and is available to individuals and self-employed professionals who are tax residents of Greece.

Eligibility and Income Limits

The income threshold stands at €25,000 for single applicants and €35,000 for married couples or cohabiting partners. An additional €5,000 is added per dependent child. For single-parent families, the limit rises to €39,000, with a further €5,000 increase for each additional child beyond the first.

Support Amounts by Vehicle and Region

For cars in mainland Greece, beneficiaries receive €50 when opting for the digital card or €40 via bank transfer. In island regions, the amounts increase to €60 (digital card) and €50 (bank transfer).

For motorcycles and mopeds, support is €30 (digital card) or €25 (bank transfer) on the mainland—and €35 or €30 respectively in island areas.

Expanded Use of the Digital Card

This year’s Fuel Pass introduces a key change: the digital card is no longer limited to fuel purchases at gas stations. It can also be used for public transport and taxi services. Cash withdrawals are not permitted. Any remaining balance on the digital card must be used by July 31, 2026.

Important Application Notes

Each individual may register only one vehicle—and each vehicle may be registered by only one person. The vehicle must be road-legal, fully insured, and up to date with circulation fees.

Eligibility requires full ownership, joint ownership, or personal financial leasing (e.g., private lease). Corporate leasing arrangements do not qualify—even if the applicant uses the vehicle—unless the lease contract is officially in their own name.

If an application still shows as “under processing by beneficiary,” it has not yet been submitted officially. Once approved, applications cannot be modified.

Applicants who need assistance can submit their request through local Citizen Service Centres (KEP) until the April 30 deadline.
