“Freedom Pass”: SYRIZA against government for youth incentives and vaccination program

With scientists pointing out that the wall of immunity requires vaccination rates of more than 80% now due to the “Delta” mutation, a strong policy erupted in the country against the incentives announced by the government to the age group of 18-25, in order to participate in the vaccination program.

The so-called “Freedom Pass”, a prepaid card worth 150 euros that young people will receive when they get the vaccine, is strongly criticized by Alexis Tsipras and SYRIZA, with the government responding that it is a compensation to the new generation for the restrictions it suffered in the pandemic and to call on the official opposition to state openly if it disagrees with the measure.
