France: Two dead in a wildfire on Cote d’Azur

Two people have died in a fire that continues today in the hills behind the seaside resort of Saint-Tropez on the Cote d’Azur, in the biggest fire this summer in France in one of the most touristic areas of the country.

“There is at least one man among the two victims,” ​​Prefect Evans Richard told a news conference at the Leak Chamber of Commerce.

An investigation has been launched after a fully charred body was found in Grimo, a village in the Mor Mountains.

Of the 22 people who were slightly injured, most had problems due to inhaling smoke from the fire.
