France: The Protection of Telegram Leader Pavel Durov Again Prolonged

Until tomorrow Wednesday (28.08.2024) protection was extended to billionaire Pavel Durov, creator and head of the digital platform. Pavel Durov faces twelve counts related to organised crime, informed the French Agency his source adjacent to the French prosecution authorities. Telegarm’s head was arrested on Saturday night (24.08.2024) at Burze Airport, near Paris, and jailed. French justice accuses him of being left vacant while various illegal actions were being committed by subscribers to his platform. He is accused in particular of lack of control and cooperation with the prosecution authorities. His company, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, described the charges as “unreasonable”.
