France: Shocking Arrests in Emil’s Murder Case – Grandparents Among Detained

Emil Soleil, 2.5 years old, went missing on July 8, 2023, during a summer visit to his maternal grandparents’ countryside home. Two neighbors claimed to have seen him on the main road of the village of Ot-Berné, but their testimonies conflicted. Authorities had long suspected human intervention in Emil’s disappearance after his remains were found just 100 meters from the house, despite thorough searches immediately following his vanishing. Evidence suggests that Emil may have been killed and transported nearby. On Saturday, March 30, 2024, eight months later, bones belonging to Emil were discovered in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region in southeastern France.
