Alarm spread Saturday evening, July 11, 2026, in Sarcelles — a multicultural suburb north of Paris — after French authorities ordered a precautionary evacuation near the town’s synagogue following reports of a suspicious vehicle.
Approximately 300 residents were evacuated from the neighborhood, home to a large Jewish community. French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez confirmed the operation and noted that an investigation is underway.
