(Title) The notice that under the proposed pension reform would penalize those firms that paid less to women employees from their male colleagues made today by the French government. As broadcast by international media, the Labour Minister, Eric Vertis, “architect” of the project caused a general strike earlier this week, rebutted the criticism that it discriminates against women by forcing them to work longer than men to complete years of pensionable service.

“The problem is the years of work in regard to women, the problem is that wages: women’s wages are lower than those of men who the same work. This is an affront to democracy and our social model, “said Vertis radio Europe 1.

” The plan for reform that would penalize companies that make wage discrimination between men and women with up to 1% of their salary, “said Vertis and added that the unions and the opposition Socialist Party mislead voters by saying that it can avoid the increase to the minimum retirement age from 60 to 62 years.

The government has said that without this increase in age pension system in France would lose 45 billion a year by 2020.
