Serious incidents took place Wednesday morning outside the building of the… Regional Unit of Thrace, when forces of the riot police clashed with farmers resulting in the use of chemicals and a farmer injured.
It all started when the assembled farmers from outside the building (around 500 people) tried to get inside and meet the Minister of Rural Development and Food which was found in Komotini, greece, in the framework of his tour in Thrace. Worth mentioning the fact that mr. Apostolou was changed last minute in the schedule and arrived early in Komotini, while the Third farmers from Evros and Komotini overpowered by the tractor within the city, since it was preceded by a motor-driven march through the streets of Komotini.
The blood doesn’t take long to light up when the farmers were informed that they could not get inside the building, with the same again and fly eggs. Followed by intense clashes with the Police forces to make use of chemicals, while caused material damage to the entrance of the building in the Region.
The farmers are holding in their hands banners chanted slogans against the Minister and of the Government policy in response to the new insurance and the measures promoted by the Government, while they began to fly dozens of eggs and stones towards the building of the Region.
