Three 13-year-old girls experienced a terrifying ordeal in Philippada, Greece, when they realized they were being followed by four men of Syrian origin. The men made obscene gestures and recorded the girls on their mobile phones without consent. The four Syrian nationals, all over 30 years old, were arrested in Philippada for offenses including violation of genetic dignity, threats, and breach of personal data protection laws against the underage girls. According to police reports and epiruspost.gr, the suspects entered a food store where they gestured obscenely towards the teenage girls while filming them with their phones. After the girls fled the shop, the accused continued to follow them on the street until alerted police officers intervened and apprehended them. The suspects’ mobile phones were seized, and they will be brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Arta. The Zerou Police Department has prepared charges for violation of genetic dignity, threats, and breach of personal data legislation.
