A multi-vehicle collision occurred on the Attiki Odos motorway on the afternoon of Tuesday, 30 June, near the Metamorfosi interchange — specifically in the lane heading toward Athens International Airport. The crash led to the full closure of all traffic lanes at that location.
According to initial reports, three passenger vehicles were involved in the accident under unclear circumstances. Four people sustained minor injuries, according to ERT.
Traffic authorities warned of significant delays. The official Attiki Odos Traffic account confirmed the closure and advised drivers to use alternative routes where possible, noting that the last available exit before the incident site was Exit 8 (Lamia–Piraeus).
Motorists are urged to exercise patience and plan ahead, especially those traveling to or from the airport.
