Four Injured in Crash on Northern Road Axis of Crete – Cars Mangled and Debris Scattered on Asphalt

A shocking accident occurred at noon on Wednesday (02.07.2025) on the Northern Road Axis of Crete (VOAK), at the airport junction, in the direction of Heraklion. The crash happened when two cars collided violently, with one of them overturning completely. In total, four individuals were transported with minor injuries to the Venizelio Hospital of Heraklion by ambulances of the National Emergency Medical Service (EKAV). Firefighters rushed to the scene but eventually did not need to assist with extracting passengers from the vehicles. One vehicle was carrying a mother and her two children, while the other had two young men inside.
