Formula 1: “Colapido hit 50G on the wall” tell Williams – Unknown whether to compete in Las Vegas

Williams Racing’s pilot in Franco Colapido, had a serious in the ranking tests for Las Vegas’ Grand Prix and is under constant medical supervision. Just before the end of Q2 in Grand Prix’s class trials of Formula 1 in Las Vegas, Franco Colapido had an accident with his Williams Racing. With seconds remaining in the Q2 process and in an attempt to pass to Q3, Argentinus hit the wall and endangered his participation in the Sunday race (24.11.2024). Franco Colapido tried to straighten the steering wheel earlier to ensure a few more valuable kilometers per hour final in the next straight but touched the inside of the turn, resulting in Argentine’s single-seat falling with many kilometers across the wall. The 21-year-old Colapido came out of FW46 alone, but the impact was so intense that – according to the team’s briefing – he hit the wall with 50G!
