Centra Wilkinson, the former Playboy Playmate and companion of Hugh Hefner, has revealed in a new interview that she developed ‘sick thoughts’ about sex due to her time at the mansion. ‘I had to do a lot of therapy – it’s the first time I’m admitting this – but they told me: “You might have a small problem with sex,” shared the ex-model on the podcast ‘Amy and T.J.’ last Thursday (20.03.2025). “It’s just sick thoughts,” continued the 39-year-old Wilkinson, noting that she continues to struggle with relationships and her views on sex even today. Wilkinson, who became a Playboy Playmate at the age of 18, clarified that these ‘sick’ thoughts also affect her feelings about long-term relationships and marriage. ‘Everyone has their choices, and some want to be alone, some want to be married… and I’m more of the entertainment type,’ she explained. Wilkinson left the Playboy lifestyle at 23 and later married former NFL player Hank Baskett in 2009, with whom she had two children before they divorced in 2018. ‘It was the right timing. I found myself getting so weighed down by life at the Playboy mansion. I was ready to start a family…’, she stated on the podcast. Hugh Hefner founded Playboy in 1953 and built an empire worth $500 million. The legendary publisher and entrepreneur, who passed away at 91 in 2017, created a massive business including nightclubs, hotels, casinos, a modeling agency, limousine service, record label, film production company, and cable TV network. However, after his death, former ‘Playmates’ came forward alleging that life at the mansion wasn’t as glamorous as portrayed, speaking about emotional abuse and being forced into humiliating sexual rituals.
