Traffic has been disrupted on the coastal road between Nea Kallikratia and Nea Irakleia in Chalkidiki. A stream overflowed due to heavy rainfall that occurred on Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2025. The intense rain caused the St. Paul’s stream to burst its banks, flooding the coastal road of Nea Kallikratia – Nea Irakleia in Chalkidiki. Emergency services rushed to the area to remove water and debris and restore traffic flow. Access to Nea Irakleia is currently possible only via the Community of St. Paul, according to an announcement from the Municipality of Nea Propontida in Chalkidiki.
