A new wildfire broke out on Tuesday afternoon (June 24, 2025), this time in the village of Aristodemeio in Messinia. The fire erupted suddenly, prompting an immediate response from local firefighters who rushed to the scene and managed to bring it under control quickly. A total of 22 firefighters worked tirelessly alongside nine vehicles and five personnel from the foot patrol unit. From above, two PZL-type aircraft conducted water drops to assist in extinguishing the flames. Although the situation has improved significantly, a large firefighting force remains stationed at the site to prevent any potential rekindling of the fire.
