Fire in Rafina – 112 Alert Sent – Marathon Avenue Closed Towards Athens at Pikermi

A wildfire has broken out in low vegetation on Marathon Avenue in Rafina, near the intersection with Ariwnos Street. Emergency crews have rushed to the scene, including 90 firefighters with 6 ground teams, 15 vehicles, volunteers, two planes, and three helicopters. A 112 emergency alert was sent to residents urging those in the areas of Agia Kyriaki, Eto Styko, and Imeros Peukos to evacuate via Agia Kyriaki towards Marathon Avenue toward the Artemida Stadium. Due to the fire, traffic on Marathon Avenue has been halted at the intersection with Ariwnos Street in the direction of Athens.
